Pathway was started in the fall of 2006 when Jeremy Flanagan and his family moved to Fayetteville.  In January 2007, the Flanagans and two other familes began meeting weekly for a small group Bible study.  Over the next few months our groups grew and multiplied in people's homes throughout NWA.  As our numbers grew, we also began Sunday worship in September 2007.  In these first few years we watched a handful of people turn into a growing congregation.

In May 2008, God opened doors for us to buy property and start a building program.  While our plans were to begin construction that fall, the banking crisis and change in lending practices delayed that phase of our ministry.  But our congregation and ministries continued to grow meeting in homes and rented space.  Not only did our Sunday worship grow but our small groups multiplied.  Adults, college, teens, and middle school aged all had opportunities to grow together in their groups.  Younger kids had classes for them on Sunday mornings.  Events for different groups and church-wide family events kept our people close together as we added to our numbers.

In Fall 2008, a small group of 5 college students turned into a full-time campus ministry at the U of A.  Thrive Student Ministries quickly grew on campus, being led by college students and the staff at Pathway.  In 2010, Thrive was given use of Brad's House just 1 block off of Garland & Maple in the heart of campus.  This generous gift in the memory of one of Thrive's founding students has greatly benefited this ministry.  In November 2011, Thrive and the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship on campus joined to become one ministry giving both groups a greater ability to impact the U of A as they work together.

After multiple changes to our plans and financial strategies, we finally obtained a construction loan in February 2011.  Pathway not only built a new worship center but leased space to Just Like Home Childcare for a 2nd location in Fayetteville.  This business partnership gave JLH-West a custom designed building at a lower cost and allowed Pathway the opportunity to share some of the space giving us the ability to grow without building limitations.  Once construction began that Spring, things moved quickly on the ground.  As the building came up we prepared for a new phase of ministry at Pathway.  On December 4th, 2011 we were finally able to worship in our new facility.

God is still working in areas of Pathway to develop more ministry opportunities.  In the past few months we've launched a new ministry night focused on our youth (TeamKID) along with discipleship & service opportunities for adults.  With each new opportunity comes a new way for us to grow and serve together.  We would love for you to join us in this journey!

Creating a community that is equipped to bring Christ to our city.

We are here for you. Everything we do is to glorify God, create a meaningful relationship with Him, and support others who are striving for those same goals. Come be a part of our growing family.
